Hi! Technically my name is Alexander, but I tend to go by Sasha. I moved from Ukraine to United States at the age of eight. Going from farming potatoes with my family to a life filled with opportunities that I could never have imagined for, and am so grateful for. For as long as I can remember I've always been tinkering with things. Whether it was taking toys apart to learn how they work, or building something else out of the parts. I have always been intrigued by mechanical objects. Ultimately my curiosity lead me to pursuing a bachelors in mechanical engineering.
I didn't really know about motorsports until I started attending college. I remember the first time walking into the Formula SAE lab and thinking to myself, I want to be part of this. In my senior year I finally got the opportunity to be part of the team as my senior design project. Taking on the roles of engine calibration and data acquisition. It was one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences I have ever had and I wanted more. Which is why I ended up moving to Oxford to attend Oxford Brookes University to obtain a masters of science in motorsports engineering, while at the same time be part of their Formula Student team.
